Employee with COVID-19 infection dies

Investigation abstract

An employee was working at a general medical or surgical hospital. It was a admitted on October 9, 2021. From the timeline of the outbreak, it was thought that she contracted COVID-19 from one of her coworkers or from a walk-in client. medical center for veterans. She was in an administrative support position. She was a claims assistant in the community service department of the medical center. She worked in the reception area with four coworkers in a 518 sq ft (48 sq m) area. Ventilation in the area was sometimes inadequate, in that there were periods of time with no air circulation. The workers wore facemasks while working. Four of the five workers in the area developed COVID-19. The employee, who was partially vaccinated, was hospitalized with symptoms ten days after testing positive. She died in the hospital about two weeks after she was
