Employee with COVID-19 infection is hospitalized
Investigation abstract
An employee worked as a nursing aid providing direct care to residents in the COVID-19 wing of the skilled nursing facility. The employee begain to exhibit symptoms related to COVID-19 and tested positive on October 8, 2021. On October 12, 2021, the employee was hospitalized and on October 14, 2021, she was discharged. The employee began to experience complications, including blot clots, that resulted in her being readmitted to the hospital on October 19, 2021. Information regarding engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls for COVID-19 are not included in the narrative.
