Employee Sustains Multiple Fractures In Fall From Performanc

Investigation abstract

At 2:00 p.m. on October 16, 2021, an employee was on a performance stage and intending to remove a microphone from a podium microphone stand. The employee lost his balance and fell approximately 3 to 5 feet onto carpeted concrete and a front-row seat. It is unknown whether the employee lost his balance due to walking near the edge of the stage or the employee had to use some effort to remove the microphone and lost his balance when it suddenly came free from its stand. The employee sustained a fractured neck, ribs, and toe in the fall and required hospitalization.
