On 2/17/2015 at approximately 9:00 a.m., an employee was removing a stator (pipe) from a pre-treat oven. The tooling at the base of the stator caught on a cavity inside the oven. The crane continued to pull the part up and as the employee was trying to move the part, the hook of the holding device sheared and smashed his left index finger. The amputation occurred when the employee tried to pull his hand out of the way.
