An employee was working with a turret winder. During the automatic transfer, the machine malfunctioned and a sheet dropped off. The employee reached under the machine to place the sheet back on. While placing the material back onto the core, his left arm got caught in the machine. The machine lifted his body up breaking his left arm and left leg by wrapping him inside the product on the core.
