An employee was feeding rebar coil into a coil bender machine. He was trying to free a jammed coil from the measuring wheel with a screwdriver when the tool became jammed in the measuring wheel. This caused the coil to snag his glove and drag his thumb and index finger back into the transport wheels. His right index finger was partially amputated.
