An employee was walking down a warehouse aisle while a coworker was driving a forklift truck from the opposite direction. They passed each other, but the forklift truck driver remembered that he had a question for the employee. The driver reversed the forklift truck and the employees had a conversation. Once the conversation was over, the employee turned to walk behind the forklift truck. The forklift truck driver forgot he was in reverse and hit the employee, driving over the top of his leg. The employee sustained an open compound fracture to the left leg.
