Two employees were replacing a 3-inch fire hose on a dock. A nylon rope was tied to one end of the fire hose and to a forklift. The forklift was used to stretch out the fire hose. The nylon rope snapped under tension and struck the injured employee in the mouth, causing a laceration and swelling of the lip.
