An employee was laying metal floor decking on the second floor of a building. While dragging a sheet of deck, the employee fell, landing on a 4-foot pier cap about 18 feet below. The employee suffered two broken ribs, a broken left arm (between the shoulder and the elbow), and a fractured pelvis. Fall protection was not being worn at the time of the incident.
