Two employees were exploring an area within the forest and conducting a field botanical survey. The area included steep, rocky ground and talus slopes. One employee slipped/fell on the rocks of a slope and tumbled 45 feet toward a creek bed. The employee sustained head lacerations, fractures to the C-4 and C-5 vertebrae, and body bruising.
