An employee was connecting a towable arrow-board to a truck hitch. A car entered the construction zone and struck the arrow-board, knocking it into the employee. The employee suffered leg and facial injuries.

An employee was setting up lane closures. A car driver crossed over four lanes and hit the arrow board (already set up) and the company pickup truck. The truck in turn hit the employee, who suffered a broken left femur, chipped bones in the shoulders, a broken right ankle, and three broken ribs. The employee was hospitalized.

An employee was working inside a barricaded area on a road replacing a broken electrical pole. A car broke through the barricade and contacted a fiber optic cable that was on the ground. The cable then struck the employee, throwing him into the road and dragging him approximately 27 feet. The employee sustained injury to the head and face.

An employee was operating the lights for the work area when a drunk driver drove into the work zone, causing an object to strike the employee and ricochet him into a nearby box truck. He was hospitalized with two broken legs, a broken hip, broken ribs, and a concussion.

A work van and trailer pulled off of the road shoulder to begin working. As workers were removing safety gear and equipment, a northbound vehicle came off the road, beyond the shoulder, and struck the trailer, pushing it into the rear of the van. An employee retrieving equipment at the back of the van was pinned between the trailer and van, suffering a broken right leg and left hand.
