At about 11:30 a.m. on May 28, 2020, an employee was clearing a clog from the classification system for a plastic media recovery system. When the clog cleared, the open adjustable rotor started to spin, causing amputations to the employee's left index, middle, and ring fingers (with bone loss to the furthest knuckle on the middle finger).
