An employee was lowering a trailer's landing gear so the trailer could be detached from the truck. The landing gear stopped lowering and would not move, even under higher tension applied using the low gear. An employee was looking under the trailer to find the problem when the crank spun back around under tension and struck his head. He suffered a scalp laceration and a neck injury.
