An employee was walking around a fabric punch machine to grab a broom and tripped. As he attempted to stop his fall, he grabbed the punch belt with his left hand. His fingers swung on the belt and went across the motor of the punch. He sustained injuries to two fingers on his left hand; the tip of one finger was amputated.
