Final narrative
An employee was mowing a golf course on a zero-turn mower with a roll-over protection system (ROPS). As the mower went under a tree limb, the ROPS caused the tree limb to break and strike the employee on the head and right shoulder. The employee suffered an abrasion on the right side of his head and bruising on his right shoulder. The employee was hospitalized for a compression fracture of the lower back.
