Border States Paving, Inc.

An employee was standing on a road, flagging traffic to slow it down inside a work zone. A passenger vehicle struck another vehicle that was parked off the roadway. While avoiding that vehicle, the employee fell and struck their head on the pavement. The employee suffered head and shoulder injuries (including a wound to the back of the head that required staples) and lost consciousness. The employee was hospitalized.
