An employee was unloading a completed roll of stock using the hoist and a chain sling. As she was lowering the roll to set it onto the floor for transportation, there was a pop in the hoist. The roll with a bar fell out of the chain sling, striking her on the left side of the arm and then on her right foot. The bar caused a laceration to the upper left side of her arm and contusions to her right foot.
