Final narrative
On February 22, 2025, an employee was cleaning, using a 25-foot air hose to blow sawdust from the trim saw box located in the planer. As the employee pulled the hose, the hose struck a ball valve that turned the air off and caused the door of the planer to close. The employee's left hand was caught by the latch on the planer door and their left index finger was partially amputated.
