Final narrative

Employees were installing wood roof trusses, setting them on concrete masonry unit walls that were capped with new double 2-by-6 top plate. The trusses collapsed in a chain reaction, causing three employees to fall to the slab below. One of them, who had fallen about 20 feet to the concrete, suffered two collapsed lungs, several broken ribs, and a broken pelvis. The employee was hospitalized.
