An employee was standing on top of a mobile scaffold and sanding the ceiling using an electric sander connected to a vacuum unit via a hose. The employee tripped on the vacuum hose and struck the scaffold structure, causing the scaffold to tip over. The employee fell approximately 10 feet to the floor, sustained a back injury, and was hospitalized.
