Final narrative
An employee was working near a lift that was removing bales of wood pulp from storage. A bale being removed from the stack caught the corner of the bale above, causing the higher bale to fall and strike the employee. The employee sustained multiple injuries including a left foot laceration and degloving injury, right medial malleolus fracture, right leg laceration, multiple toe lacerations, subdural hematoma, subarachnoid hemorrhage, and a left temporal calvarial fracture extending into the mastoid. He was hospitalized.
