An employee and crew were using a line truck to set a pole. The employee was standing at the rear of the vehicle operating the external gear controls. When he engaged the high-RPM function using the control switch, the truck began moving backward. The employee was pinned between the rear of the truck and a job trailer, resulting in multiple fractures in pelvic area/midsection and internal contusions.
