An employee was pinning studs inside a building while a contractor was operating a backhoe in another portion of the building. The backhoe came through a curtain wall and contacted an air-handling unit that was on skids, causing it to come off and roll on top of the employee's right leg. The employee suffered a broken right femur, a broken right ankle, and lacerations to the right knee.
