An employee was installing holiday lights while on an aluminum 3-legged ladder when an aluminum pole contacted a power line. The employee was shocked and fell approximately 12 feet from the ladder to the ground. The employee sustained an electrical burn to their leg and fractured vertebrae in their lower back that resulted in paralysis from their navel to their toes.
