An employee was loading a 3-yard trash container onto the back of a rear-load trash truck using a cable system that is built into the truck. After off-loading the trash into the hopper, the employee lowered the trash can onto the ground. The can shifted, pinching their left index finger against the truck, resulting in a fingertip amputation.
