An employee was working from a third floor platform transferring color from feeders due to a manufacturing error. The employee was draining color pigment from the feeders and collecting the pigment in two 5-gallon buckets. The pigment that is taken out of the feeders is recycled and poured into a barrel on the second floor. During the pigment emptying process, the middle rail was dislodged and the employee fell through the guardrail to the floor below. The employee sustained multiple fractures to the upper and lower body.
