What happened
The employee was a helper on a rear load refuse truck. The rear load refuse truck was traveling west on [REDACTED] The driver of the rear load refuse truck came to a stop. The employee then got out of the passenger side door of the rear load refuse truck and walked to the back of the rear load refuse truck. The employee was attempting to then cross the roadway to retrieve a waste wheeler to dump it into the rear of the rear load refuse truck. At this time a Ford [REDACTED] was traveling east on [REDACTED] The driver of the Ford [REDACTED] attempted to pass by the rear load refuse truck and in doing so the Ford [REDACTED] then struck the employee as he was walking out from behind the rear driver side of the rear load refuse truck.
