A tooling Technician working in the Tool Grib area was attempting to utilize a drill to place a drill bit to widen a hole in the drill tap box. The drill bit caught the hole and the tap set turned and the Left index finger was cut by the inner edge of the drill and tap set. The preliminary root cause was improper process - the drill and tap set was not properly secured setup was not verified along with lack of utilization of personal protective equipment
