Before the incident
Using a plastic pusher paddle to assist in dropping the premix
What happened
TM was using a plastic pusher paddle to help expedite transferring the premix on Yline cart to the sifter from 3rd floor to 2nd TM dropped the paddle into the gate area which was flipped open and attempted to reach in multiple times to retrieve it before the gate closed automatically The gate closed on the TMs hand but not fully due to the paddle being lodged in the top of the sifter The TMs hand was stuck temporarily before he was able to free it with assistance
