On [REDACTED] at [REDACTED] Full-Time Regular (FTR) postal employee [REDACTED] reported the following incident: FTR [REDACTED] was driving a 2-ton postal vehicle eastbound on [REDACTED] towards [REDACTED] with a New CCA [REDACTED]. While passing a double-parked privately owned vehicle (POV) the POV driver suddenly merged into traffic sideswiping the postal vehicle. The impact occurred on the right side of the postal vehicle 's rear fender causing scratches. The POV sustained severe damage to its left fender and front bumper. The accident took place in front of [REDACTED] who was being trained by the FTR [REDACTED] claimed she bumped her head during the incident. An ambulance arrived at the scene and transported Ms. [REDACTED] to Kings County Hospital for evaluation. Police were called but did not arrive at the accident scene. Information was exchanged between the POV driver and postal employees. No additional injuries were reported.
