What happened
Carrier was traveling southbound on [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] heading to his pivot. As he approached the stop sign at the intersection or spruce and [REDACTED] at to which he could not come to a stop. The carriers personal backpack that was upfront to the left of his feet did not allow the brake pedal to be depressed causing him to go through the stop sign. It was either the bag itself or the strap of the bad that got caught up on the brake pedal. This led to the mail truck being struck by another vehicle that was traveling westbound on [REDACTED]
