Before the incident
Employee was changing out a corroded junction box cover. The cover and interior of the box had some rust and corrosion creating small particles. When changing the cover employee does not recall particles becoming airborne but felt some mild irritation after rubbing his eyes with his hand. The mild irritation continued but did not worsen until after the employee woke up from sleeping He went to the ER and a piece of material was removed from under his eyelid.
