quick test to verify the sensor is reacting in alignment to air temperatures

EE was working on a truck and needed a piece of tape cut to a specific length. He used a replaceable razor blade to cut a specific length of tape (He did not have a razor knife). The tape was used on the Outside Air Temperature sensor locate on the left mirror of the truck. This tape is used in a quick test to verify the sensor is reacting in alignment to air temperatures verified with an Infared temp. gun. While cutting the tape the blade slipped and created a laceration on EE 's left ring finger.
