Before the incident
The team member was operating the water jet They leaned over to grab a step stool in preparation to unload parts from the water jet When they lifted the step stool the back of their right pointer finger was struck on a piece of sheet metal on the table above The finger was caught between the rung of the stool and the sheet metal resulting in the metal cutting through the cut resistant glove they were wearing and lacerating the finger He immediately reported the injury and was given treatment
