What happened
A patient set off their bed alarm. I stood up out of the chair quickly to run towards the room from the nurse?s station and when I stood up something popped in my foot big toe. I felt pain up into my knee but thought I simply stood up wrong and it wasn? t a reason for concern. I finished my shift and my foot was very tender and sore but I elevated it and went to sleep. When I woke up I could not bear weight on the foot and it was swollen and the pain was worse. My supervisor was also working the M s hift on [REDACTED] so I called her at [REDACTED] and reported the incident to her.
