he EE was attempting to remove the tension from the conveyor belt to clean it. Upon releasing the safety pin on the tensioner the EE noticed the tensioner had not released as expected. The EE tried to pull the tensioner up when the tensioner got released it swung up pinching the EE‘s right hand between the tensioner and the bar which caused a laceration to the EE’s right hand between the thumb and the index finger.
