What happened
On [REDACTED] around [REDACTED] EE was performing job function de-bracing Qberts from ocean container. While cutting the strap the blade of the box cutter got stuck on the strap and EE removed the box cutter from the strap to attempt to cut a second time. During this process the safety guard on the blade broke leaving the blade exposed. After successfully cutting through the strap on the second attempt the exposed blade made contact with the EEs right leg going trough their pants and into their leg. EMS was called and provided initial care before referring EE to the ER for stitches. EE is in good spirits.
