Before the incident
Employee and crew were on site to complete service line renewal. Employee and partner were completing the task of taking swing tie measurements.
What happened
Employee walked up the customers stairs to hold tape measure to corner of house for swing tie measurement. Employee completed this task and was walking back down the stairs when employee slipped on a lose stair. This caused the employees foot to roll over and employee fell down 5-6 wooden stairs. Employee stated that he heard felt a crack in his ankle during the fall. Employee also struck their back and back of head on the concrete landing. Employee was wearing hardhat and other PPE at the time of fall. After the fall employee could not walk or place any weight on their left ankle foot. Other employees on site carried employee to a vehicle and transported them to an ER for evaluation. Employee was diagnosed with a sprained left ankle.
