Before the incident
Employee suffered insect bite while working on a shift door in the [REDACTED] building. Another employee with the Gorilla department was assisting. Employee thought it was a fly or other nuisance bite. The next day it was bruised and the following day it swelled. Employee went to wellness center on [REDACTED] for treatment and receved antibiotics. At that point the employee was unsure if his injury was related to the insect bite. [REDACTED] it became clear that the employee had been bitten by something venomous likely a brown recluse due to the presence of necrotic tissue. Employee has been seeing a wound specialist to treat the injury. The employee mentioned the injury to a supervisor the week after he was bitten and was mistakenly informed the reporting window had passed.
