Entering holding with eagle to manually restrain for exam.
What happened
Entered eagle holding with coworkers to capture female eagle [REDACTED] for preventative medical exam. I was primary my job was to get ahold of her feet so that coworkers could safely tuck her wings and put hood on her. I successfully grabbed [REDACTED] but as I had her in hand a talon was able to strike my left bicep above my PPE (leather cattle gloves). I had no loss of function and safely handled and passed off bird to other keepers for the exam.
