What happened
I was disposing of chemotherapy waste in a box that is designated as the proper disposal protocol. As I pick up the bag out of my cart the bag swung and hit my right thigh. I felt a sharp poke and jumped back quickly. I continued to use extra caution to dispose of the waste properly so no one else would accidentally come into contact with the needle.
