What happened
I was holding a large patient for a spinal bed was very high patient was putting all his weight on me. I could feel a strain in my back. When case was over and moved patient I felt my lower back hurt on transfer. I took advil between cases and went on with my day. The [REDACTED] I could hardly get out of bed. Continued taking advil assuming it would go away eventually. Continued over the weekend and on [REDACTED] while lifting heavy pans and patients it started to get worse. I reported it to my manager at the end of the day and said I would call employee health in the morning.
