Preparing to remove the shaft from the core on station 2 on the Thermal Laminator

The employee was removing the shaft from the core of the finished roll on Station 2 on the Thermal Laminator. As the employee was pulling the shaft out of the core he felt something pop in his back. The employee finished the task of switching the roll and then walked up to Station 1 unwind. When he got to Station 1 his back was starting to hurt worse he then proceeded to the office and called the Supervisor on duty and notified him. The employee was transported to the hospital and treated.
