Patient went into cardiac arrest. Dr. [REDACTED] stated for me to establish an IO. Compressions were ongoing. I attempted to pull the patient 's skintight during this process the needle slipped across the patient 's skin into my left index finger. Superficial wound with minimal bleeding.
