An operations employee received a laceration injury to their left forearm The employee was in the process of clearing the cleanup chain at the northside cutoff saw We believe at the time of the incident the employee was utilizing a pike pole to remove wood debris from the chain conveyor lost balance or grip and fell into a guarded 48inch diameter cutoff saw As the employee was falling backwards his arm inadvertently was exposed to the open side of the blade resulting in a laceration injury Our investigation is ongoing
