What happened
The resident got up around [REDACTED] and came out of his room asking for juice water or coffee. Myself and the other staff advised him to return back to his room. As he was going back to his room the resident slammed his door. I then went into his room to talk with him about his behavior. I stated to him that his behavior was inappropriate. He continued to show the negative behavior. I then went and got him a cup of water at this time he was still upset. Once he finished the water he made a gesture with the cup in his hand like he was going to throw it at me. My reaction was to raise my left arm to protect myself from being hit by the cup. As I raised my arm up I heard a sound on the top left side of my shoulder. I in formed the other staff about what had happened. The other staff advised me to go to Bancroft Medical and let them know what happened.
