During assembly of the [REDACTED] employeewas assisting operator with moving wood crane mats to allow for additional space in the assembly area During this operation a 12k JCB [REDACTED] was utilized and It was determined to be necessary for the spread of the Forklift forks to be increased to allow for additional stability of the wood mats While attempting to increase the spread of the forks [REDACTED] rocked the fork back and forth to make it easier While doing so [REDACTED] inadvertently slid his left hand further up the fork resulting in his left ring finger being pinched between the fork and the mast of the forklift
