Employee was on ladder directly below the duct being removed.

The team placed a rope on the end of the duct to pull it away while [REDACTED] did the cut with a [REDACTED] from the third rung. When the duct was cut the rope slipped out of the workers hands that was assisting which caused the duct to swing in the air striking the ladder while the [REDACTED] was climbing down the ladder. This caused him to loose his footing and fall approximately 2-3 feet landing on his back and hitting his head on the concrete. The individual that fell was wearing his hardhat and PPEs.
