What happened
There is a pump that circulates hot water between two tanks. The pump was not turned off when doing the color check which caused hot water (200 degree F) to shoot out of the top of the dye kettle once the lid was opened. The hot water cause 2nd degree burns on the employee 's arms from the wrist up to the lower biceps. Additional burns occured on the employee 's stomach left big toe and pinky toe on the right foot.
