Before the incident
I finished to draw pts ABG I pulled out the needle and was going to close it into the orange cap that is factory based attached on the side of the needle but before I was able to do that I accidently touched by the sharp end of the needle my index finger on my other hand This was ended up in a small cut on my fingerindex even through the gloves and a drop of my blood appeared on my finger index I washed my hands with soap and water clocked out and went to ER to start evaluation and treatment House supervisor was notified Pt was left safe The other RT took over the respiratory assignment
